Mothers, Babies and Hypnosis by Cat Wilson

Mothers, Babies and Hypnosis by Cat Wilson

Motherhood is a time of celebration and joy! Are you about to become a mother? Do you have a need for feeling more at ease in your new identity as “Mommy”? Either way, Hypnotherapy can be a marvelous tool for you!  Read on to meet two of our graduates who specialize in hypnobirthing.
In our hypnosis courses we teach processes that can relax mothers and help new fathers as well.  One example is called “Client-centered” hypnotherapy, where parents are trained in creating and controlling the level of relaxation.
Apositiva teaches a full certification program in Hypnotherapy (CHt and NLP). Some Graduates of our program have continued their training beyond the certification and specialize in supporting parents.  Allow me to introduce you to two of our graduates, whom we joyfully recommend when it comes to preparing you for a new baby.

Mothers, Babies and Hypnosis

Jen Procter

Jen Procter

Jen Procter is the owner of Portland Hypnobabies in Portland, Oregon. She is a native Oregonian and brings her joy in respecting nature and the birth process. Jen successfully completed her CHt and her Masters, Neuro-linguistic Programming certification at Apositiva Institute. One of my favorite memories of Jen when I was her trainer at Apositiva was her demonstration in using metaphors. She has a sensitive humor that will amuse you and a serious side that says she is listening. In childbirth preparation she works with parents to help them in an honored and relaxed way.
Deb Nesbitt

Deb Nesbitt

Deb Nesbitt, NP is the owner of NW Medical Hypnosis, LLC in Vancouver, Washington.  Deb graduated years ago from our program at Apositiva Institute, and continued her training in nursing until she completed her Masters as a Nurse Practitioner. She holds a gentle spirit in helping others.  One of my favorite memories of Deb is how well she coordinated with her classmates to come together and practice what she learned in class. She continues to stay in contact and gives updates on her family,  growth in the medical community, and share stories about her granddaughter.  Deb has a special place in her heart for mothers.
