Snowbound with Creativity by Cat Wilson

Snowbound with Creativity by Cat Wilson

Snowbound. Does this strike fear into your very core? Part of me gets fear and part of me doesn’t. Creativity helps. Let me share.
When the snow first came down, it was pretty. I loved watching it. Yet, Portland, Oregon is new to this weather and we are on a hill, so it’s been lonely. Small businesses set themselves up to help people, and so when we are closed down for a few days, a week, a few weeks, it gets lonely and fear or discouragement can sneak in. Yet, I send out good thoughts! Creativity shows up.

Quiet

Apositiva in the Snow

Oh, the quiet of the snow is so wonderful that I’ve totally enjoyed the peace. In one sense I believe the energy of the planet needed a quieting down after so much political heat. Perhaps this was the way of a higher source saying, “Slow down. Take it easy. Calm.”

Creativity

She – Creativity – has been locked up inside for a few days and needs to be helping her clients. Baking, making soups, cleaning the files on the computer, and petting my cat has sustained me to a certain level, but I need my people! I want to see people, listen to them, help them, and be of service. This is what I do with my sidekick Creativity.
Creativity PlaysCreativity was rambunctious. Not having control over the weather, I got quiet, meditated and got the message. Draw. Ok. I took out my colored pens, and sat listening to music … and checking out which pens still worked. After I was done, a picture showed up! Isn’t it funny what is inside us when we get quiet?
A picture can mean a thousand words, so a story can be born. Or a thousand words can show up and a picture can be born. Ok. Creativity gets to play.
